Nominating Procedures
You must be a paid current member of TRCHF, in good standing in order to nominate a candidate. After the set date, the nominating committee will consider each of the applications. By a majority vote, a pre-set number of inductees will be forwarded to the Board of Directors along with a photograph biography of each potential inductee. The Board of Directors will review the potential nominees and if a question arises that cannot be resolved to a potential nominee; clarification can be required from the nominating committee. If the Board is not satisfied this person may be declined and the nominating committee will be required to submit a different potential inductee. After the final vote, it is considered as final and cannot be reopened. If a nominated inductee declines induction there will not be a replacement. The number of inductees will be one less. If a person nominated is not selected the photograph and biography will not be returned. Those not selected will need to be re-nominated each year.
The Nominating Committee term will be limited to two (2) consecutive years. A person may be reappointed after two (2) years absent from the committee. If any member of the nominating committee feels that he can no longer serve, the Board will appoint a new member. If there is not time before the nominations, then a member of the Board will serve in a temporary capacity. A member of the nominating committee may be removed by a majority of the Board for just cause. A complaint for removal must be specific and in writing and received by the Chairman of the Board. The Chairman will report to the Directors if cause is justified to merit removal for a vote.
The Board will be responsible for establishing minimum requirements for potential inductees. These will be furnished to each of the nominating committee members.
