Not his first rodeo Local cowboy rodeoed for 30 years By: Stacy Johnson Posted February 8, 2012
Eugene Weakley spent 30 years as a steer wrestler and rodeo professional, traveling across the West and even making it to the National Finals Rodeo for steer wrestling in 1971.
Although he said he never really thought about getting special treatment for his work, Weakley will be inducted into the 2012 Texas Rodeo Cowboy Hall of Fame at the Cowtown Coliseum in Fort Worth on April 20 in the "rodeo personnel" category.
"I rodeoed quite a bit in the state of Texas for 30 years and I never thought it meant much," Weakley said. "I was just trying to be a cowboy." READ ENTIER ARTICLE

The late Reagon Walker, a considerable force in the Texas rodeo circuit, will be remembered as a member of the Texas Rodeo Cowboy Hall of Fame after this spring.
He will be entered with the 2012 Hall of Fame class in April after his name was included in a vote by members of the TRCHF for posthumous honors, according to a release from the group.
