NEW INDUCTEE SELECTION PROCEDURE
Members Can Now Vote!
The Texas Rodeo Cowboy Hall of Fame’s board of directors is proud to announce the implementation of a new voting procedure. As the current TRCHF continues to strive to be a preserver of the sport of rodeo, we are diligent to continue to promote growth of our members, supporters and inductees.
In the spirit of moving towards an efficient, fair and well represented system we have opened the voting of our 2012 and future TRCHF inductees to our members. To clarify, members are those who have a current paid membership and are in good standing with the TRCHF. Each member will receive a ballot with a list of nominees in a variety of categories to choose from and cast their votes. While the full details of our ballot system is still being defined, we are announcing our intentions today to make the new procedure known. “It is exciting that our members will have a voice in who our Inductees will be,” says President Don Howell. He continues, “Now is the time to make this happen, our 2012 nominees will be the first to be voted in this way”.
The board will continue to verify all the nominations to be true of fact and submitted within the standards previously set by TRCHF. A selection committee will ensure that the qualifications and credentials of each nominee are accurate. In addition, the ballot will be arranged by this committee. It will be the members of the TRCHF that will determine who will be inducted through this ballot voting procedure.
As we take this giant step, we join the ranks of many of other hall of fames around the country who have had this procedure installed in their policies for years. It is yet another way the TRCHF continues
to value the support of our growing membership. If you are interested in becoming a member please visit our web site for a membership form. Ballots will be mailed out only to those individuals who have current paid memberships.
